My fascination with the unexplained started at the age of eight, during a life‑saving operation at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. After emergency surgery to remove a large brain tumour, she experienced a vivid out‑of‑body vision — the only clear memory I retained from a long recovery that continued into my late twenties.

This early experience sparked a scary lifelong curiosity about what lies beyond the physical world.
